The Art Link Foundation / Derida Dance Center is the leading partner and coordinator of a new three-year European project “Moving Balkans” – contemporary dance platform, financed by the “Creative Europe” program (Nr.: 101128452), which started at the beginning of 2024.
The aim of this platform is to work for strong partnership relationships in the Balkan region, leading to the selection of the most outstanding young choreographers to be presented to guests and promoters from around the world in 2025 in Zagreb, Rijeka and Ljubljana and in 2026 in Novi Sad. Also, the platform will work to increase the competences of artists in this field, to decentralize dance and create new dance routes, as well as contemporary dance digitalization.
The project is implemented by a consortium of 11 organizations from the Balkan region: National Choreographic Center (Bucharest, Romania), Center for Urban Culture – Cinema Šiška (Ljubljana, Slovenia), En Knap (Ljubljana, Slovenia), Student Cultural Center (Novi Sad, Serbia ), the Croatian Institute of Contemporary Dance (Zagreb, Croatia), Interart Cultural Center (Skopje, North Macedonia), Kalitechniki Etairia Dance Cultural Center UNITIVA (Athens, Greece), Albania dance meeting (Tirana, Albania), Choreographic Dance Association (Ljubljana, Slovenia), Croatian Cultural Center NA SUSAKU (Rijeka, Croatia) and Art Link Foundation / Derida Dance Center.
