We are happy to share that Atanas Maev, co-founder and project manager of Derida Dance Center, continues his work as a member of the Board of the European Dance Development Network (EDN).
During EDN’s General Assembly, held in Hamburg this June, the network’s members elected a new co-presidency and welcomed three new members to the Board.
Chiara Organtini from Lavanderia a Vapore joins Louise Costelloe from Dance Ireland as co-president of the association. Bertha Bermúdez from Dantzaz takes on the role of secretary, while Mathis Junet from TROIS C-L continues for another term as treasurer.
The newly elected Board members are Maja Hriešik from PLAST – Platforma pre súčasný tanec, Eddie Nixon from The Place, and Pauline Patoux from Centre national de la danse – CN D.
Alongside Atanas Maev, Pedro Barreiro from O Espaço Do Tempo and Biljana Tanurovska Kjulavkovski from LOKOMOTIVA – Centre for New Initiatives in Arts and Culture also continue their work on the Board.
The European Dance Development Network brings together organisations from across Europe around a shared mission to contribute to a sustainable, progressive, and equitable dance sector. Derida Dance Center’s involvement in the network is part of its long-term commitment to international exchange, partnership-building, and the development of stronger conditions for contemporary dance in Europe.
