Derida Dance Center is the first center for contemporary dance in Bulgaria. The organization supports the development of the contemporary dance scene, focusing on independent productions, training, international partnerships, and cultural events. With its performance venue – Derida Stage, it offers a monthly program featuring international and Bulgarian dance performances, audiovisual performances, art cinema, exhibitions, conferences, and other events.

Derida Stage is designed to meet the requirements for dance performances (contemporary, modern dance, performance). The stage is at ground level, while the audience is arranged amphitheatrically. It has different capacities: (1) 91 seats with stage dimensions of 9.5 m (width) by 8.1 m (depth), and (2) 75 seats with stage dimensions of 9.5 m (width) by 9 m (depth). A professional makeup room, as well as toilets and showers for the artists, are available.
The space allows for the organization of conferences and trainings with a capacity of up to 170 seats. It is equipped with projection technology, as well as a Screenlite screen measuring 6 m (width) x 4 m (height), two wireless Shure microphones, stands for them, professional lighting, and sound.
Control can be performed both from the stage and from the technical booth.
A professional makeup room is available, as well as sanitary facilities connected to it.
Our cinema equipment allows for the organization of cinema events. The hall is equipped with a professional cinema screen (6 x 4 m) and a laser projector.
Facilitated access for video conferencing can be provided for conversations with the teams after the screenings.

Derida Stage has professionally constructed and furnished upper lobby and lower bar areas, which allow for the possibility of social events, celebrations, and parties.

The control booth at Derida Stage is the central point for monitoring and managing lighting, sound, and multimedia during events.
The lighting equipment provides a wide range of colors and effects to meet even the most demanding requirements specific to the event. The sound system delivers clear and powerful audio. The booth is connected to the stage via a 16-channel multicore. This control center is designed to meet high standards, ensuring maximum quality for the audience’s experience.
