🌊 “EKOT – Cry of the Waves” is a dance-visual performance that, through contemporary dance, video mapping, and music, explores the ♻️ ecological crisis and the destructive footprint it leaves on 🐢 marine ecosystems. The artistic team of Derida Company presents this catastrophe not as an abstract 🌎 global issue, but as a concrete moral and existential dilemma for all of us 👉 here and now.
👋💭 The mission of the performance is to break the silence around one of the most urgent topics of our time. It provokes engagement – not only emotional but also ethical. It calls for concrete action – both personal and collective: responsible consumption, active civic stance, care for biodiversity, and insistence on sustainable eco-policies. Here, art is not consolation but a 💡 wake-up call. It does not offer answers, but insists on a reaction.
The performance is realized within the project Dancing Histories, co-funded by the EU’s Creative Europe program and the National Culture Fund, Bulgaria, in partnership with BUNA, the Regional History Museum Varna, Largo Art Gallery, and Eco Cluster Bulgaria.
