Masterwork for Six Dancers – En Knap company, co-production Slovenia / Hungary

Unfolding through a series of images inspired by 💭 Bauhaus philosophy and the Triadic Ballet, “Masterwork for Six Dancers” explores how the body frees itself from cultural symbols and social meanings projected onto it over time. Using objects such as costumes that hinder movement and lend it a ⛓️ mechanical tone, the body reshapes its autonomy through a sequence of functional obstacles. Its functions glide between the concrete and the abstract in choreography. Each body is a masterwork in itself, emerging from the interweaving of the Self and the environment. By modifying the body, by “objectifying” it and extending it into space and surroundings, by subjugating and immersing it, a paradoxical freedom and autonomy emerges 👉 that of art and artificiality.
