Aerowaves in Sofia is an annual contemporary dance festival that the DDC team organizes every year in partnership with the European platform for contemporary dance, Aerowaves. The festival’s program includes a selection of performances that are part of the Top 20 rankings of the European platform for the respective year. The festival focuses on introducing the Bulgarian audience to emerging artists from different parts of Europe and offering viewers diverse thematic directions and aesthetic forms.

“Aerowaves in Sofia” Festival is implemented by the Art Link Foundation / Derida Dance Center with the financial support of Aerowaves Dance Across Europe, Sofia Municipality – Culture Program, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria, National Culture Fund of Bulgaria – One Year Grant Program and Program for “Recovery and development of private cultural organisations”.
